DESCRIPTION:The two day courses will take place in Rome with three participants  who will attend operative sessions.\n\nThis course is aimed at ESTS members established consultants predominantly devoting their clinical practice to general thoracic surgery. The main purpose is to facilitate interaction and exchange of information among practicing thoracic surgeons about state of the art surgical procedures and management protocols.\n\nWe invited applications to the Itinerant Expert Course.  These educational grants are open to everybody to apply\; however some rules will be used in the selection of the applications.  Candidates who have the following criteria will have priority in the selection.\n\n • ESTS member\n • From “low middle income” countries in Europe according to the World Bank ranking system\n • Predominant practice in general thoracic surgery\n\nThe grant will include:\n\n • Two nights free accommodation with breakfast and lunch\n • Course dinner on first evening of course\n • Certificate of attendance\n\nThe grant does not include:\n\n • Travel expenses\n • Social events\n\n
