Background
Dr. Álvaro Fuentes Martín, M.D. from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, has undergone specialized training in Thoracic Surgery at the University Hospital of Valladolid. Driven by a passion for advancing healthcare, he is currently pursuing his PhD in Health Science Research focusing on lung cancer research. During his training, Dr. Fuentes Martín undertook various international educational stints to broaden his expertise in minimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgery at esteemed institutions like Mount Sinai Hospital and NYU Langone in the USA. Passionate about education and the advancement of Thoracic Surgery, he has held various representative positions in the Spanish Society of Thoracic Surgery and in the National Commission of Thoracic Surgery at the Spanish Ministry of Health.
